Prestige College Schools registration process

Step 1
Get all the needed documentation ready before you submit your application. Your application can only be processed when all documentation is available:

  • Unabridged Birth Certificate of the applicant
  • Most recent report from your present school.
  • ID copies of both parents/guardians and ID photo of applicant
  • Testimonial from your present school.
  • Salary advice of person responsible for account.
  • Proof of address.

Step 2
The Application Form pack (Application form, assessment form, medical form and check list) may be completed then scanned with all the documents and emailed to the school of choice or may be submitted at the school.

Step 3
The school will make contact regarding any outstanding documents and/or invite you for an interview. Learners who apply for Grade 10 will have to write a placement test and you will be called and an appointment made where this is relevant.

Step 4
Once the application is approved, you will be called and requested to sign the PARENT CONTRACT with the school and pay the REGISTRATION FEE applicable to the year of study.

After payment of the registration fee, you will receive your Registration number and card which will be the only access to the new school in January of the year of study.

Step 5
Preparation for the new school:

Buy your Prestige College Uniform from the official Suppliers at Overkruin Outfitters, Silver Cross, Ekspa or any other retail shop that sells the official uniform of Prestige College. Please check the uniform and other grooming rules. The rest of the information will be provided at the schools.

Who may enrol at Prestige College?

Anybody who is eligible to attend school and who qualifies according to the admission requirements for the school may apply. The same admission requirements and rules as prescribed for Prestige College.

Prestige College enrols learners From Grade 000 up to Grade 10. After Grade ten only learners who previously enrolled will be allowed to register for Grade 11 and 12.

Parents may apply for their children on the website, by calling the office or by email. All contact details are available on this website on the right hand side of each page.

Headwear
The schools are currently considering the addition of headwear in the form of a baggy cap for boys and visors for girls.

Formal School Functions and Assembly wear (Grades 8-12) (No 1 Uniform)

  • White Shirt with appropriate School tie
  • Blazer (plus Jersey if required); Tracksuit top for Primary School
  • Long grey trousers or Knee length skirt/grey slacks
  • Black shoes (plus white socks for girls in summer, long grey/red socks or black leotards in winter)

The following are not allowed*:

  • visible tattoos;
  • jewellery other than watches or signet rings (only girls);
  • ear studs (boys) or any ear studs other than simple gold rings (only girls);
  • coloured nail polish (only clear varnish is allowed and only for girls in FET phase);
  • make-up (including glittered or coloured lip gloss);
  • dyed hair;
  • nose & tongue rings or studs;
  • beards and moustaches;
  • sideburns longer than middle of ear;
  • bangles or unauthorised rubber, leather or plastic bands around wrists of ankles;
  • hair or eye-brow patterns
  • braids , mohawks or dreadlocks (boys);
  • non-tied back hair (girls)
  • big style afros (girls and boys);
  • weaves or wigs (girls)
  • trousers hanging below the waist line (boys);
  • tapered or “skinny” pants
  • skirts shorter than top of knee length (girls).

* the school leadership reserves the right to change or add to some of these prohibitions if it deems necessary for disciplinary reasons.

Sports Uniform
Sports uniform throughout all grades consist of the Prestige College Schools’ Golf Shirt and Shorts, a full School Track-suit, short white socks (or longer school sport sock for football and hockey) and any colour sport shoes.

Uniform represents School
Any learner who wears the school uniform inside or outside the school terrain shall do so in the knowledge that while wearing the uniform they carry the school’s identity and reputation with them. Any behaviour unbecoming of a Prestige School learner, while in the uniform of the school, especially outside the school terrain, will be viewed in a most serious light and will be met by a heavy sanction in the form of Demerit(s).
